Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage as Flora McGrath. For this role, she won an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. She is the second youngest recipient in Oscar the history of Oscars. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Canada on the 24th July of 1982. The Canadian born actress is also a New Zealander actress. In 1993, she received her first Academy Award at age 11 to play the inquisitive, talking child of Holly Hunter who played the principal character. Paquin was Jane Eyre's title character as an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the main role in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin had a small role in the 1997 TV movie version to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
