Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for over 20 years. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece and moved to England when she was sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. As the first foreign student to hold the position of president in the prestigious debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took on the role. A conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she became the voice of Huffington Post. The celebrity she enjoyed enabled her to get a variety of celebrities to contribute their opinion regarding current affairs, the as well as politics and culture. Arianna was famous in 2003 when she ran as an independent in California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. In addition, she also spearheaded an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes identified her as the top female in the media industry in the year 2009. Her ranking was in the 12th spot on Forbes' ranking. The Guardian added her to the top 100 list of media for 2009. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the head of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL owned properties like Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli has two siblings, Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli, who are both journalists and consultants in management. She was very close with her father, but it was the relationship she had with her mother which formed her. When she was a teen, she showed leadership traits that she still is known for. As a 16-year-old the girl moved to the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the colleges debating societies, which she later became the first foreign female president. She graduated in 1972 with an education in Economics. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she became a journalist and TV host. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own books with his help.
