Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist, television personality as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece she relocated to England at the age of sixteen and then was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she became a voice of the Huffington Post. Her popularity enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views on current events, as well as politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she decided to run for a non-partisan position for the California recall election to replace the then governor Davis. In addition to this, she led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top female media personality, taking the 12th place on the listing and the following year Guardian named her to the top 100 list of media. AOL, Inc. appointed her President of their media division in 2011 following the acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included the other AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. The way she lived her life was determined by her closeness to her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, even though she was very close to him. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities that are still highly regarded. When she was sixteen, she left America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. The third female president and first foreigner, she held the position of head of Cambridge Union. In 1972, she graduated with a Master's Degree in Economics. The career of TV host and journalist started after her graduation. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from Bernard Levin.
