Lee
Lee Roy Selmon has a background that is a combination of family scholarships football with volunteer work in the community. First family, he's the youngest of nine children of Lucious the Jessie and Lucious Selmon. The family lived on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. In second football, he was the third brother who played for Oklahoma. All three of them were All-Americans. One year 1973 Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy is the winner of both Outland Awards as well as Lombardi Awards. He was the best lineman in all of the nation. In three years, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 with Roy serving as their starting line-up. They also won the national title twice. Selmon was an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was given a scholarship for the third season in the year 1975. Selmon is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in educational studies. Fourth-year service in college Lee Roy devoted ten hours per week to volunteer projects. After graduating, Lee Roy settled in Tampa which is where he played for nine years playing with the Buccaneers. Three times, he was named All-Pro. Lee Roy began his professional career. In 1988, while working as an account relations officer at First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder in 1982 the Junior Chamber of Commerce named him as one of the country's 10 outstanding young males. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265 pounds in the time he played football at college. In 1975, he led the team. In 1993 he was appointed associate director of the University of South Florida. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame was named for the player as a member in the year 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame In 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation gave the Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Sr. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor, who awarded this award.
